My Girl & KFC

Its been a bit of a funny week really..hard to put into words but ended with me getting sick

Anyways Im back to my ole self now

Heres a pic of my girl taken quickly before she left for a party on Saturday.The poor girl has lived on KFC this weekend much to her delight LOL.Hubby suggested we have take away on friday night as i hadnt been well and the kids chose KFC (variety bucket)The girls had some that was left over on sat for lunch

Then when i picked her up from her party after dinner on Sat she announced they had had...yep KFC so that makes 3 meals of KFC.I bet she tells her teacher tomorrow and wont I look like the good parent ...not LOL

Sand and Stone

TWO FRIENDS WERE WALKING
THROUGH THE DESERT.
DURING SOME POINT OF THE
JOURNEY, THEY HAD AN
ARGUMENT; AND ONE FRIEND
SLAPPED THE OTHER ONE
IN THE FACE.
THE ONE WHO GOT SLAPPED
WAS HURT, BUT WITHOUT
SAYING ANYTHING,
WROTE IN THE SAND:

“TODAY MY FRIEND
SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE.”

THEY KEPT ON WALKING,
UNTIL THEY FOUND AN OASIS,
WHERE THEY DECIDED
TO TAKE A BATH .

THE ONE WHO HAD BEEN
SLAPPED GOT STUCK IN THE
MIRE AND STARTED DROWNING,
BUT THE FRIEND SAVED HIM.

AFTER HE RECOVERED FROM
THE NEAR DROWNING,
HE WROTE ON A STONE:

“TODAY MY FRIEND
SAVED MY LIFE.”

THE FRIEND WHO HAD SLAPPED
AND SAVED HIS FRIEND
ASKED HIM, “AFTER I HURT YOU,
YOU WROTE IN THE SAND AND NOW,
YOU WRITE ON A STONE, WHY?”

THE OTHER FRIEND REPLIED
“WHEN SOMEONE HURTS US
WE SHOULD WRITE IT DOWN
IN SAND WHERE WINDS OF
FORGIVENESS CAN ERASE IT AWAY.
BUT, WHEN SOMEONE DOES
SOMETHING GOOD FOR US,
WE MUST ENGRAVE IT IN STONE
WHERE NO WIND
CAN EVER ERASE IT.”

Quiet weekend

We have just had a fairly quiet weekend.Hayden went to a sleepover party at a good friends house last night and he was going to Laserzone so no doubt would have had a ball.On the way home from droppping him off, the girls and i stopped at our local park and had a play..well they had a play and i took a few pics .It was getting close to tea time and was quite windy (hence the messy hair)with a chill in the air .Kayley still wouldnt put her jacket on.She never seems to feel the cold much..unlike me

1.Ive only ever had 2 jobs in my life.

Working at McDonalds from age15 whilst at school and kept it for about a year into my first proper job

Working in a bank from leaving school up until I had my second child so over 13yrs.I did everything from Junior to bank manager but my fortay was Lending.I only took this job to tide me over until I decided what I really wanted to do...so much for that idea LOL

2.Four of my fav local places.

Mmm thats hard.I would say down by the river, a local park around the corner,The 5k walking track down at the Lakes (although i never manage to drag myself down there) and a park just a bit up towards the mountains

Gosh, sadly this will be easy Chocolate,Cake,Chicken caesar salad & chinese.Do i have to stop at 4?

I have only ever been O/seas once (half a life time ago )to Bali but i guess if i had a choice it would be

Scooter Days

Thought I would share this part of our day

One day some 3 months ago Kayley asked me could she ride her scooter into the school where we go to pick up Hayden and Lauren each day.Im sure I normally would have just said no but this wasnt just any ordinary day.It was the day after Avas passing (the beautiful daughter of an amazing lady I know via an online mums group)

My answer was "Yes,if you want to ride your scooter sweetie..you ride it"

We put it in the boot and parked far enough away for her to have a good ride. We have since done this nearly every weekday.Kayley loves it and is quite a little terror on 2 wheels.Im sure people step to the side when they see her coming for fear they will be knocked out LOL

Thank You sweet Ava...for helping us to appreciate the little things and not let the opportunity pass us by

Welcome To The World Baby Ajai

My friend Rachelle gave birth to a beautiful baby boy yesterday.His name is Ajai .He is 53cm long and weighs in at a healthy 3.46kg.

Havent had a chance to see him in real life as yet as the little man is having some tests done.Hoping that all goes well .I have a piccy of him on my phone and he looks just perfectl.

Cant wait to meet you beautiful boy.

School walkathon

Well i havent really had anything exciting to post and today is no different really

I did have a nice day though.We had open day at the kids school.Got to see all their bookwork and they are always so proud.Kayley didnt go to preschool so she could come along.Once again i forgot my camera.Doh! Must start to post some pic soon

Then the school had a walkathon.You had to do 8 laps.Lauren did 10 and would've kept going if they had let her LOL.She has a real competitive streak that girl

We had lunch and then an early mark.

I then did a huge clean out of Kayleys room.Tomorrow i will tidy the clothes.How darn exciting is that? LOL

Will post something a bit more spesh tomorrow

Listening

Do you ever have those days when the kids just seem to have trouble "listening" or rather just doing what they are told and you feel like tearing your hair out.

We had one of those mornings today where I struggled to get them to do the basic things..get up,get dressed,have breaky & clean teeth..oh and not to squabble and fight LOL

As we were driving to school having left behind our house that looked like a bomb had hit despite me being up for 2 hours I decided to have a little chat." You guys have to listen to mum.I cant be asking for you to do things over and over and you have to stop the squabbling with each other ..Do you understand? I got no answer.I asked them what I had just said.They couldnt answer as you guessed it..they were not listening LOL

Oh well, tomorrow is a new day

Preschool Open Day

Today was open day at Kayleys Preschool for education week.We just love her preschool.Its part of a local public school and she attends a morning session from 9 to 11.30 each weekday.She has a ball

I spent some of the morning with her there today.No pics as I was in such a rush this morning i forg0t and when we got there Kayles said " Oh mum you should have brang (her words) your camera.They had a portfolio for us to look at with a gorgeous pic of my miss K on the front.We sat and played with playdoh.We decided to use the letter shapes and Kayley chose the word LOVE .We also made flowers and love hearts.Ooh playdoh is so much fun LOL.Then we did a painting and played an educational game on the computer

Last but not least we heard the class sing and watch them dance.The parents were in hysterics.They were all so cute.A few of the mums pointed out how good Kayleys dance moves were and commented on her hip action.Lets just say my baby girl doesnt do anything by halves

Happy Mothers Day!

Today I have spoilt with love and handmade gifts that i love so so much.My 4yr old daughter loves to colour in and does a pretty good job as you can see by the flowers on my gorgeous bag."Happy Valentines Day Mum" she said LOL.My girls just love making things

I received yummy breaky in bed and have had a nice peaceful day.What more can a mum ask for?

We will have take out tonight so looking forward to no cooking and getting into my nice new Pjs
