My little Preschool Graduate

We have been so busy and Ive been slack and havent taken the time to blog

Here is my Miss Kayley.She officially graduated from preschool yesterday.How funny is that?Would be a worry if she failed LOL.Her preschool is just the best and I cant thank the teachers enough for making this preschool year such an enjoyable one.She has 2 teachers who job share and they are just so genuine and caring.

We are off to the paediatric opthamologist shortly for a review so fingers crossed that goes well

Lauren is also auditioning for the school talent quest today.She has made up her own dance..God love her.There are loads of kids auditioning so not sure if she will get in but I love that she is giving it a go all of her own accord.I have had no input at all except to put some rollers in her hair last night LOL.I forgot to take a pic this morning.I asked her if she is nervous at all and she said "No! Why would i be nervous Mum? It will be fun!".I think thats great and wish I had confidence like that as a kid or even now..I would be packing it.She is auditioning in front of all the infants kids

Anyways...will be off for now.Will have to make sure I blog some more especially with the holidays coming up soon

Sleeping Sisters

Have had a busy week this past week and have a bit of blogging to catch up on but its late and im half asleep.So I'll just pop this pic of my girls that i took this week sleeping (In my bed mind you) Quite often one of them will end up in our bed,usually Kayley.I will wake and shes in my arms and I dont even remember her coming in.Kinda nice to wake up too.She says I move over for her but I must just do it in my sleep.Although we discourage this , when it happens we dont make a fuss.I've learnt that life can be to short to sweat the small stuff.

Anyway on this night both girls made there way into our bed and did not want to go back in their own for some reason.Now 4 in the bed doesnt quite work especially when i seem to have to share my half with them LOL.So this night I couldnt be bothered with the hassle of putting them back and just went and crashed on the lounge.I think it was about 4.30 am anyway

When I woke and went in, this was this is what i found...so cute



How to explain Kayleys attire LOL.She has a tracky jacket on.She is in love with her new Chino dress and insisted on wearing it to bed but she got a bit cold LOL.This is a pic of her earlier in her own bed when i remembered to check on her at about midnight and covered her up.Yes i probably shouldnt be lurking around with my camera at midnight but you have to capture these moments



Now lastly a pic of the beloved dress which has been worn so much this past week.Lauren has got this same dress and Kayley so wanted one as well.I think it will be a very worthwhile purchase

It turned out not to be such a short post after all.Gosh I can waffle when im tired.Nighty Night!

The perfect gift~Forever Friends~

I am so fussy when i buy pressies.I will often spend ages searching for just the right thing.

Laurens best friend is moving interstate next month.They are really close and play everyday at school and have had sleepovers and will no doubt miss each other lots.We will make sure we stay in touch though.

I already have her this cute little ornamental flowerpot with pretend pink daisies that says"BEST FRIENDS" and a gorgeous card that comes with a book mark (she loves to read too) with a lovely friendship verse

I have been keeping my eye out for that something else and today i found it..a little book with the most gorgeous illustrations of 2 little girls.It s just perfectThe content goes like this~

Egg Friends

Yesterday I did the grocery shopping and Kayley decided she was going to help pack away.She grabbed the container we have in the fridge for eggs and said" Oh look Mum there is only one egg left.Its looks lonely.I think it needs some friends.

She proceeded very enthusiastically, unpacking the carton of eggs and counting as she went.

One friend,two friends,three friends......we got up to eight friends and the next one hit the slate.The look on her face was priceless "Ooops ...one broken friend" she said before we both started giggling.

So cute and just an example of how she cracks me up all the time.

Today Kayley was nagging to go swimming.I think she really just wanted to try her new cossie out.I came down with a bad cold last night so last thing i felt like doing was taking them out.We filled up our little clam and it kept the girls amused for yonks

Cupcakes,fairywands and twirly dresses

We had Laurens birthday party today and she had a ball.Her actual birthday isnt until Tuesday so I'll enjoy her being 7 for a few more days

I am half asleep sitting here writing this post.Its been a busy week and the kids go back to school on Monday.I also painted Laurens room this week and sorted through all her things so her room is all spick now LOL.

We had the party here at home.Bar the normal family parties you tend to have when they are babies and toddlers, I have always steered clear of doing the home party and opted for somewhere else to trash LOL.This year (although they dont have one every year) I have had 2 of the kids parties here and its wasnt that bad at all.

Today we kept the girls entertained with lots of games..Pass the parcel,Pin the tail on the unicorn,musical statues and of course a pinata chock full of treats (it had to be Bratz)Thats actually the reason why Lauren wanted the party here,so she could have lots of good old fashioned games and prizes.

The cupcakes and fairywands we made were a mega hit.The girls and I made them together yesterday.I iced and they decorated.It was great fun.Lauren is also having her best friend sleep over and i have just managed to get them settled (girls do love to natter)Anyway I better head off for some shut eye
